Sophia holds an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from The CUNY Graduate Center, with a focus on memory work in post-colonial literature and photography. She completed her BA in Journalism with a minor in Media Studies at SUNY Purchase College, and a concentration in Visual Arts.
She currently coordinates archival projects at Magnum Photos.
She is a proud board member of Kooyrigs and co-founder of Azad Archives.
